Igbo Man Set ablaze in Calabar, What Hedid will Shock You.An infuriated mob on Tuesday allegedly beat a secondary school dropout, simply identified as Chidozie and set him ablaze for stealing mobile phones at Iyang Edem by Mount Zion in Calabar, Cross River state capital.Chidozie, according to reports, belonged to a five-man robbery gang.On the said day, Chidozie and his gang members allegedly visited Atu Secondary School, where they attacked a teacher and dispossessed her of valuables, including her phones.Unfortunately for the gang, residents in the neighbourhood had been trailing them as they had been terrorising the area.According to an eyewitness, luck ran out on Chidozie who could not run asfast as his gang members.The eyewitness who spoke on conditions of anonymity said, “He was unfortunate, because the others escaped.“Due to the spate of armed robberies in our area, they did not spare him because he refused to accept that the phone was with him.“They beat him to death and then set him ablaze.“We learnt that Chidozie was just released from prison last week and he was also rusticated from Atu Secondary School when he was in Senior Secondary, SS 2 due to the nefarious activities he was involved in,” the witness added, noting that they were happy that he was killed on the spot.As at press time, Chidozie’s remains were still by the road side and the Police Public Relations Officers, PPRO, Irene Ugbo, could not be reached for comments.Follow Us on Twitter!Like Us on Facebook!Related Posts*.Shocker! Corporal kills, buries inspector over N300,000

A police corporal, Daramola Tosin, attached to the Ekiti Police Division in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, has been dismissed from the Force for allegedly killing an inspector, Mr. Lateef Shuaib.Tosin allegedly shot Shuaib after secretly withdrawing up to N300,000 from Shuaib’s bank account without his consent. SHEROTECH  learnt that Shuaib had entrusted Tosin with his Automated Teller Machine card when he fell ill.The suspect was said to have initially withdrawn money for the use of the father of two. However, it was learnt that the suspect started taking money in bits from the account for his own use until he withdrew up to N300,000.Shuaib was said to have chided him for the action.
