A human right group has suggested that the many tributes for the fallen soldiers is an indication of unquestionable unity among Nigerians– The group said Nigerians recognize not only Boko Haram, but its sponsors as their common enemy– The group also cautioned some mischief makers against trying to cash in on the death of the soldiers to create disunity amongst NigeriansThe remains of Abu AliOn Friday, November 4, Nigeria was caught up in the announcement of the death of seven Nigerian soldiers in an ambush by the Boko Haram terrorists.The attack which occurred in Mallam Fatori area of Borno state was greeted with grief and tributes from across the globe for the seven Nigerian fallen heroes.Nigerians reacting to the death of these soldiers never questioned their tribe, religion or ethnicity.However, a civil right advocacy group, Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency (CESJET) said the flood of tributes from all parts of Nigeria and the globe is an indication that Boko Haram is Nigeria’s common enemy.READ ALSO: This is why Nigeria must not allow Lt. Abu Ali, others to rest in peaceThe group during a press conference in Abuja said it is a testimony that Nigerians recognize not only Boko Haram, but its sponsors as their common enemy.Speaking, CESJET through its executive director Joyce Adamu said such tributes and attributes are the best ‘tonic’ for every nation.Adamu said:“We are beginning to see that there are people manifesting their loss of humanity and see nothing wrong in attempting to cash in on these tragedies by making insinuations that have no place among right thinking people.”However, she cautioned some mischief makers against trying to cash in on the death of the soldiers to create disunity amongst Nigerians.READ ALSO: FALLEN HEROES: Unbelievable thing minister said about Lt. Abu Ali, others (video)“Most of this depravity is manifested in claims that the Army suffered casualty in the Boko Haram attacks because present conditions are worse than what obtained under former President Goodlcuk Jonathan,”Adamu said.“One would have expected that the Army and the Ministry of Defence would be allowed to properly investigate what went wrong to account for such casualty instead of jumping to conclusion.“We observed that these claims are being attributed to people who are not bold enough to reveal their identities and their socalled interviews are mostly reported by cloned sites that attempt to pass off as objective, hardworking and credible news organizations.“To say the least, this is the height of irresponsibility.She also said the deaths of gallants soldiers who laid down their own lives to keep all Nigerians safe should not be reduced into parodies and the subject of falsehood.READ ALSO: FALLEN HEROES: First photos of Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai, others weeping at Lt.
